Post-Doctoral Position in Platelet Adhesion Modeling and Experiments

The Hammer Laboratory has an immediate opening, funded by the R33 in Blood Systems Biology, on platelet adhesion and spreading. The position involves both mathematical modeling of platelet adhesion and spreading using integrated adhesive dynamics algorithm, and complementary experiments in which we will quantify the dynamics of spreading of platelets in different chemical surfaces using novel microscopic techniques. This position also affords the opportunity to interact with a network of biologists and engineers working collaborative on platelet adhesion biology.

If you are interested, please send a CV, including references, to Daniel A. Hammer at hammer@seas.upenn.edu. Please indicate when you believe you will be available.
